A New Temporary Home....So Excited!!!

.I moved into a cottage in Woodland Hills..... for the next five weeks!

I was being nostalgic for my co-workers, who sent me off in style, with this magazine and the refresher cup. I have it  filled with mint iced tea. MENTA!!!! That me!      A special friend gave me that Jiminy Cricket...See!!! I keep him with me to remind me of you always! <3 SAMMY SUE!!!!

I placed the cup in the cupholder in the Jeep so I could have it in California... before my stuff gets shipped.
 I also had the Cool Penguin towel draped over the back seat!
Dirty Jerzey plates!!! REPRESENT!!! I stick out on the road... like a sore thumb!

In between the cottage and the main house, there is a pub with tables and chairs... and a billiards table, too!

 A tree house that is built within a tree that is rather large!  Look at the size of that trunk! It must be old...at least twice as old as me, that makes it about 58 I guess. HEE HEE HEE!!!

Topochico, sounds a bit like that little mouse from the Ed Sullivan show,  Said my father anyway.   I wouldn't know, that's before my time. I  do remember the little mouse stories though.... so right!

Friends and Family...... Friends are our chosen Family.

Friends and family will be missed the most on this move to the left coast. But.... I do have one little gem out here of a friend.... Jennie. She went to school with my sister in Pittsburgh, Pa many moons ago. Landed a job in NY and she came back home with Gina! We have many good memories and more to create. When I lived out here before, she was looking to come out this way. I went back east she came out west. So that leaves me a real good friend that lives here.

 A soul sister....Jen prepared a fantastic grilled meal Thursday evening. [With a little help from the best grill chef ] YUMMY Rib Eye steaks and grilled zucchini, portobello mushrooms and white asparagus! OH and the ugly grilled tomato that was just wonderful. I have no pictures of us or our delish meal, I do however have some shots of our al fresco dining environment. We were at her place in Encino. SWEET!!!!  I sat under the lemon tree. How about that!

Penguin Random House Audio, Woodland Hills, CA

This move came about with the opportunity for me to relocate to another job within the newly merged Penguin Random House. I now work at the Woodland Hills, Ca location that is the Los Angeles audio recording studios of our audio books.  IT's going to be exciting here!!! There is lots of construction going on within the office itself and  additional studios being installed to accommodate the growing list of titles through this merger!

Outdoors or Bust

 I have moved to southern California,to enjoy being able to be outdoors more.  Well since the apartment life is the most likely choice for me, I will need to discover the out of doors not in a back yard.
Enter places like this....
I anticipate being able to rent a community plot for gardening here too!!! Yippee!!!
I took a ride after work today, since I am in a temporary housing situation without any outdoor areas at my disposal. Why be here, if you have nowhere outside to enjoy????
I took a few shots of the grounds just by the entry. I have added a link above to provide some information about the history of the place and the grounds. There are citrus orchards here, and many many different types of trees. So peaceful and pretty.
